Ski Resort Jobs

Looking for the perfect ski resort job? We got some useful information here to help you decide whether to take a ski resort job and how to go about finding the right one. Ski resort jobs offer a number of benefits, such as a free season passes, lift tickets for friends and families and of course, the all important ability to sneak in a few runs during a break or right after work!

With every job comes some disadvantages. Some include lower than average pay for many positions, expensive housing if you want to live near the area or large travel distances if you live in a more distant area, and the seasonal nature of the work. Of course, this last issue can also be a plus for some people, as you may only be looking for a job to fill up your winter.

How do you find the perfect ski resort job?

First, you need to decide which areas you want to work at. Then, go to each resorts website and look at their job postings. Often, ski areas wont post seasonal jobs until the end of summer or even the beginning of the fall. If you are looking before that, you should call up the Human Resources department and speak with them about when jobs become available and what type of job would be a good fit for you. Remember, during the summer time many resorts shut down, so you may have a hard time getting a hold of someone. Some other things to consider once you start narrowing down your options

  1. Does the ski resort provide subsidized living or have living arrangements for employees
  2. If no housing is provided, where are you going to live and how much does it cost?
  3. If you don't have a car, how will you get to and from the ski area
  4. What us the time frame of the job? Lift attendants may start earlier than ski instructors
  5. Is there mandatory training involved before the start of the season?

There are also websites that list job postings from many different ski resorts. They can be useful tools if you don't have a preference as to which resort you want to work at. Find ski resort jobs online:
